  The first issue of "I.D." has just been received, and we are pleased to tell you that it has far surpassed our expectations. Offset, on good quality paper, is 35 pages long. about the size of "The Record Changer" and contains much valuable material. There are six articles, the most notable being "Reflections on the Origin of a Jazz Tune" by Frank Gillis (that man again) of New York City and Detroit. Articles such as this, in our opinion. are most desirable and stimulating to readers of jazz periodicals. We wish there were more forthcoming. Barney Crosby always surprises with an interesting story away from the beaten path. There are two discographies: Eddie Cantor and Mary Garden (jazz fans remember that this magazine is not limited to jazz research). However, an extensive "Okeh-Vocalion Numerical Check List" 10 pages long more than gives the Mouldy Fygee his share. Recommended. "Charter Memberships" still available at $2 for the first year ($3 thereafter).

Notice has been sent out to members and prospective members, by the "International Record Collectors Society, Inc." by Ruby Collings, Secretary, that there would be a delay in the date of issue of the first club journal. This was the result of the unfortunate coincidence in names. Already in existence is "The International Record Collectors Club" of Bridgeport, Conn.! Therefore, it has been necessary to change the title of the Club, to "International Discaphiles, Inc." New membership cards will be issued as soon as possible.
