Dear Mr. LaRocca,

Because we have had no answer to our previous letter, written several weeks ago, we are assuming it went astray and so we are sending this by registered mail.
Our magazine. THE SECOND LINE, is mailed to club members all over the world. A forthcoming will be devoted to the great Original Dixieland Jazz Band. It will contain pictures and articles by the surviving members. Naturally, as its leader, an article by you would not only round out the picture but add greatly to the importance of this particular issue. We would deeply appreciate your considering our request seriously. If you prefer, the article could be in the form of a letter. We will be happy to print anything you have to say on the subject of the band, or jazz in general. We promise to print anything you have to say on The subject of the band, or jazz in general. We promise to print whatever you write, unedited.
Since we have all the copy necessary except yours, we hope you will let us know your decision, one way or the other, as soon as possible.
We are sure that you realize that an article by you would be of paramount interest to jazz fans everywhere.
With personal and friendliest good wishes, 1 am

            Cordially yours.

              Corresponding Secretary (MRS.) MYRA MENVILLE,
